New book site being launched

July 12th, 2006 · No Comments

So I came across this today in my quest to find something new to look at every day.

I’ve always wanted to write a novel where I get to be a beast who goes around slaying people in the most grotesque way, but never really been arsed to do it.

Now for people who are probably a bit less gruesome than myself is a new site called the great british novel.

It give us that’s right you and me the chance to write a novel, fantastic. Don’t think I could ever be bothered to write a whole one anyway.

Good luck and let me know how you get on.

So does anyone ever have the same problems as me, hours to spare at work and get the chance to browse as much as I like, but I’m runnig out of sites to look at. Infact I would easily say I was becoming bored of the internet. Anyone else ever experienced this ? :-)

Music Downloads

So after browsing Google news I came across an article telling me how the BPI were suing a Russian website that made available MP3’s for downloading. How happy am I now that I managed to find the site. For an initial $10 you get to download albums at an average cost of $1 per album.

I had seen friends use file sharing programs but to be honest the quality could never be trusted. So now i don’t really mind the cost and the choice is massive, try it out music.allofmp3.com

So does anyone here download podcasts, it has recently been reported that Ricky Gervais claims to have beaten his own record for the most downloaded podcast ever.

His free weekly podcast landed a place in this year’s Guinness Book of World Records with an average of 261,670 downloads per episode.

So any suggestions on where to get your podcast ?

How often is it that we need to insure the car, buy a mobile phone, find a cheep holiday or even change your energy provider. Well more recently you will have seen Television adverts in the UK for a new website, http://www.moneysupermarket.com/. I have to say it works, it does exactly what it says on the can.

I recently was helping someone look for the cheapest quote on line and it can be very frustrating, all the offers tell you they are the cheapest, most offer discounts for booking on line and the others just want to make you happy.

Moneysupermarket ticked all my boxes. Quick, easy to use and very competitive.

Nokia N Series, are they all they’re cracked up to be

June 24th, 2006 · 2 Comments

Has anyone purchased a Nokia N-Series, I was looking for an all singing all dancing phone that was also able to give me a few extras, eg decent camera.

The camera’s seem to work fine, but unfortunately you struggle to make and receive calls on them sometimes. Anyone else shared this experience.
